(PETA/Gavin Bond) (CBS) Porn star Jenna Jameson says you can be kinky without being cruel. "It is OK to be an animal in bed, but not at the expense of real animals," says Jameson in an anti-leather campaign by the People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). A bewigged Jameson appears as pin-up icon Bettie Page clad in a faux leather bikini, black stockings and high heels in the new PETA ad shot by celebrity photographer Gavin Bond. The actress is unveiling the new "Pleather Yourself - Discover The Pleasure Of Pleather" campaign Monday evening as part of Los Angeles Fashion Week. "Pleather yourself every day, every night, every chance you get!" says Jameson. "Anybody who knows me knows that I've kind of lived half my life in pleather. And if I can show off the hot look of pleather and convert a few leather lovers, then mission accomplished. The outfit that I'm wearing in the ad is so sexy that I suggest if people want to have a better time in the bedroom - then please explore the pleather side." Jameson, who entered the Adult Video News Hall Of Fame at age 26, is one of the industry's most powerful and highest-paid stars. Although she says she has since retired from appearing in X-rated movies, she continues to earn money from her various business ventures in the industry. Her autobiography, "How To Make Love Like A Porn Star - A Cautionary Tale" spent six weeks on the New York Times Best-Seller list. © MMVIII, CBS Interactive Inc.
