Producers of Dion's show say she's canceled the next five performances of "A New Day" because she's being treated for mycoplasma bronchitis, a contagious bacterial infection. She's been ordered to rest. Dion's show has been called off through Sunday. She was scheduled to take a holiday break after that. Her show will not resume until Dec. 28. Dion has also backed out of a scheduled performance at the Billboard Music Awards on Monday in Las Vegas. In April the singer had labyrinthitis, an inflammation of the inner ear that's often accompanied by an impaired sense of balance. ©MMVI The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.
