On The Early Show Monday, stylist to the stars David Evangelista told women the five things they have to have for the new season. The good news is that makeup for fall 2006 is glamorous, but no-fuss, and requires minimal effort. It's all about bold, strong colors for lips and nails, defined eyes and full brows. So, it's time to ditch the gossamer glosses and shimmery shadows from summer, and modify your cosmetics for fall. Evangelista covered five categories of products that every woman must have in her makeup bag this season: bold lip colors, deep eyeliners, a brow kit for full eyebrows, a thin black headband, and dark nail polish. FALL MUST-HAVE NO. 1: BOLD LIP COLOR In the past few seasons, the trend for lip color has been towards a pale, neutral, glossy mouth. And there's a bold lip color for every woman no matter what form of lip color she prefers; whether you prefer matte lipsticks or color-packed glosses, there's a plethora of product for you to choose from. A few notable bold lip colors for fall 2006: FALL MUST-HAVE NO. 2: EYELINER If you're going for a bold lip, you don't want to play up your eyes with too much color. The best way to make your eyes pop without loading on the dark shadows and heavy mascara of past seasons is with an eyeliner that will define the shape of your eyes. When it comes to color, think of neutral, autumnal shades ... or colors that compliment the dark, black fashions that are so popular this fall (gunmetal, grey, even black). You don't want to coat your eyes in liner — just define and make the eyes pop. As with lipstick, eyeliners for the fall are coming in all sorts of formulations and types: liquid liner, pencils, even eyeliner pens ... whichever you feel most comfortable with, there's an eyeliner for every woman.
